My snarry_games pieces Transferis and The Weight of Secrets are both up on my site. I imagine most of the HP folks have already seen them, so I didn't bother reposting here.

blue_soaring wrote a fic follow-up to my Transferis art though, which is just so richly atmosphere it blows me away. I wish she'd write more HP, since one of my very favourite fics of hers is a Snape/Black piece she'd written for merry smutmas a few years ago.

I'm regularly working Sat-Mon, which at first left me wondering what to do with my time, but now school is really picking up nearing the end of the semester, so the next four days are going to be pretty packed for me. I have a lot of work to do for my two final projects. I'm happy with my progress on them though, and I have some fun side projects to work on to keep me sane. I'm really happy I've managed so much art lately, since it just plain feels good to be drawing regularly again. As I flailed in my last pic post, I ordered my Cintiq, so that should get to me within the next week. So. Excited.

I seriously doubt there are any Harry Potter fans lurking about here, but here, have some fic anyway!

Please ignore my sad lack of a HP icon. Or just think of it as Sam = Harry, in that way where they both will more than likely suffer massive internal haemorrhaging one day due to capslocking. You know what I'm talking about.

The evil twin played around in the Snarry games awhile back, and when I saw her absolutely gorgeous piece of artwork, this happened.

Firstly, some Saiyuki commissioned by white_cross_b, who was infinitely patient with me on this one! I hadn't drawn these two in ages, but oh, I still adore them. ^_^

Besides all of the other tasty things we made today, I made some banana nut bread. It came out so delicious and fluffy. Since I typed up my recipe for Blue, I figured I'd just post it here.

Makes one loaf. Vegan if you use earth balance (or non-casein margarine) and applesauce in lieu of butter and eggs. ^_^

1c flour
1/2t salt
1t baking soda
1/2c melted butter (I use earth balance to omit the dairy, but another option is 1/4c vegetable oil)
2/3c sugar (i use half white, half brown)
2 very ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 - 1c nuts chopped (i used raw almonds and cashews, which came out much crunchier than my usual pecan/cashew blend)
dash of cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
1/2c unsweetened applesauce (in lieu of 2 eggs)
1/2t vanilla

I also added a handful of raisins and dried cranberries which added some great texture to counter the crunch of the almonds!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, combine dry ingredients (flour, sugar, salt, soda, spices). In another bowl, mash the bananas and add the other wet ingredients (butter, applesauce, vanilla). Mix the dry into the wet, add the nuts and any dried fruit, put into a greased pan and cook for about 1 hr, or until a butter knife slid into the centre comes out clean!

windsorblue, why is March so far away? D: At least I can be happy that I finished two pics this week. With another three days off, I'm aiming high.

Tell me what you like to see in fic, and for once, I don't actually mean (just) porn. I mean things that Sam and Dean do that are AWESOME.

Examples! Dean steals first shower all the time. Sam knows exactly how Dean likes his coffee. In fact, when Dean makes his own coffee, it doesn't taste half as good as when Sam gets it, even if it's fresh-brewed versus stale gas station sludge. Maybe Dean pops a stiffy every single time Sam pulls off some smooth as silk B&E. While Sam is perfectly capable of packing his own damn duffle, thank you very much, Dean's got this habit of doing it for him anyway and maybe Sam doesn't mind so much.

Anything and everything!

I want things that you love seeing them do, or imagine them doing, or want to see them do and fair warning, I'm going to put them in fic at some point. Yes, yes, I am. I feel like wallowing in the joy that is SamandDean. Wallow with me.

I wrote this weeks ago and never got around to posting, mostly because I was busy writing other stuff, heh. Canon's since killed a couple details, but this is me, not caring. Sure, I could edit, tweak, toss in the new ideas. Instead, I'm going to save those to write MORE fic. And hurt Dean EVEN MORE the next time around. MWAHAHA.

Went to bed stupidly early since J had to and somehow I ended up waking up before his alarm, so I decided to just come in to work with him. He's busy baking all the pastries and muffins right now and I'm lazing around with a cup of tea and poking at some of Blue's fics that need beta'ing. Also apparently ranting...

I need to write porn about Dean's back now. Like, RIGHT NOW. Like, Dean riding Sam RIGHT NOW. That kinda porn.

I worked about 6 hours in the main lab today and got my model plus most of the accessories fully blocked out and a rough pass on the anatomy. Then I went to dinner with J and decided to go with him up to the Powell building. I went into the animation lab there and used the 21" Cintiq to work on an SPN commission I've been poking at all month. Cue orgasm. I didn't think it'd make such a huge deal since I'm pretty darn comfortable drawing with a standard graphics tablet, but oh, oh man. I did in two hours what would normally take me eight, and with a better level of detail. D: In sum, stupid amount of money or not, I know what I'm getting for Christmas. Photoshop CS4 might finally have the ability to rotate your canvas, but gyah, nothing beats just rotating the screen without a keystroke and continuing to draw without pause. I'll probably see if my mommy wants to buy it for me since I just got myself a new laptop, but if not, J and I both got a raise, and I'm sitting on birthday cash plus my tip stash, so a second big purchase this winter isn't going to really hurt.

Despite a mild urge to not do anything at all tomorrow, I think I'll be heading in again so I can work on my hard surface. I was really hoping to make it in to the back-to-back workshops on Friday, but I'll be filling in on the desk at work. The nice thing is that J works line on Friday, so I can have him make me something tasty for lunch! I just have to survive until then and not murder anyone who talks non-stop in the lab.

On a completely unrelated note, peppermint mochas from Peets might be the death of me this season.
